What an Enrolled Agent credential means.
Enrolled Agents are licensed by the IRS for practice before it. The IRS describes qualification through its examination route or relevant former-IRS experience, with continuing education and conduct requirements. The credential is held by an individual, not a claim that every employee of a firm has the same authorization.
CTAS identifies Logan Connell, EA through the public IRS preparer-directory listing. That listing is a verification route, not an IRS endorsement or proof of a physical office.

Where IRS representation rights overlap.
The IRS describes Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys as having unlimited representation rights before it. That addresses the types of federal tax matters, taxpayers and IRS offices involved; it does not mean unlimited authority to act without a client’s authorization or expertise in every situation.
The particular matter, tax periods and authorization still need to be agreed. A representation engagement is distinct from preparing a return, and neither guarantees a tax-debt reduction or outcome.

Where the roles differ.
A CPA is licensed under state law. State accountancy boards govern the applicable licensing and practice rules, including relevant requirements for accounting and attest work. An EA credential does not itself confer a CPA license, state-law attest authority or a legal license.
If a lender, regulator or investor requires audited or reviewed financial statements or a particular licensed sign-off, state the requirement before engaging a provider. Confirm the individual and firm authorization with the appropriate board rather than assuming a tax credential satisfies it.

Questions to ask before choosing.
Ask who will do and review the work, what experience is relevant to your matter, which deliverables are included, how records will be shared and what remains your responsibility. A credential comparison should not substitute for service-fit questions.
For example, a business owner needing bookkeeping, a tax projection and an IRS notice response may need several clearly scoped tasks. A company needing an audit report has a different requirement even if both also file tax returns.
How CTAS fits the decision.
Connell Tax & Accounting Solutions LLC is a remote tax and accounting advisory firm, not presented as a CPA firm. Discuss accounting records, prospective tax planning, return preparation, entity tax questions or a defined IRS matter. Confirm the services, jurisdictions and authorizations CTAS accepts.
Legal advice, specialist regulatory work and licensed attest requirements should be directed to appropriate professionals. The objective is to match the work to a properly qualified provider, not to claim one credential replaces all others.
Questions before the next step.
Can an EA represent a taxpayer before the IRS?
An eligible EA can represent clients in IRS matters with the required authorization. Scope and acceptance of the particular matter still need agreement.
Does EA mean CPA?
No. They are different credentials with different licensing frameworks. EA status does not establish CPA or state attest authority.
